And if you have water b a little wax on it, and it will usually clean them off? Well.CMX doesn't do that.

You know when you wax your car, you always will pick up a little brown tint to the wax pad.even after the car has been washed? That's the embedded dirt that the wax picked up. The only negative thing I will say about the CMX (and other spray ceramic coatings) is that they don't clean like wax does. I don't, and it still works awesome, and better than any wax I've used. View QuoteYes, I've used the CMX over the Chemical Guys sealant.works great.īut like others have said, if you have 's best to wash and prep the car to get an much other "Stuff" off of the paint as possible. I noticed this mainly on plastic parts with texture, they are fine to apply but make sure you wipe them back off. Reason being, if you spray it and don't wipe it it turns white after a few days, so anything you spray but don't wipe could turn white. I would not recommend spraying it directly on the paint then rubbing it in. One note, I spray the applicator pad away from the vehicle, then apply. I recently purchased a new vehicle and have been using CMX exclusively since day one. Areas that saw the most abuse like the doors and lower panels didn't seem to have a lot of protection left but the rest was still working well. It was fading for sure by the time I got home but mostly still beaded water even after the trip. Usually one wash in a DIY car wash and wax is about gone, CMX did a lot better. I was at the mercy of DIY car wash's being away from home, was on dirt, sand, highway, etc on the trip. I put two coats on my vehicle last year and did a 12 day trip out west to see how it would preform. It beads water well and I'd estimate it lasts 3-4 times a long as traditional waxes. It's easier to apply and remove than most all waxes I've ever tried. I've been using the Mother's CMX and have been very pleased with it. I'm not spending that long prepping my paint.unless it means I don't have to wash my car anymore.ever. BUT.it doesn't last long enough where it justified going through the 4hr process of "prepping" your cars paint for application of the top end $100+ ceramic coatings. It's just as easy to apply as wax, cheap, and lasts much longer. I've tried a bunch of different stuff.and have settled for the "spray on/wipe off" type of ceramic coatings offered by Mothers and other known quality brands. That sold me on it.it was actually a drastic difference. You could actually see the dirt streaks across the panel with the wax, and then when it hit the panel with the CMX, there were no dirt streaks. After a week of driving the truck to work.the panel with the CMX was visually clearer, and had less water spots(it rained a few times) and dirt on it. I once waxed a panel with regular wax (Mothers Synthetic Wax), and then another body panel I put this CMX spray on. I use this stuff.goes on easy, no crazy prepping (just wash the car), and it actually does keep the car cleaner longer.
